제목 Dielectric Properties of Ceramic/Polymer Composites with Interface Modification
초록 Effects of ceramic content and amphiphilic coupling agent on the microwave dielectric properties of MgTiO3/polystyrene (PS) and MgTiO3/polypropylene (PP) composites were investigated. To improve the interfacial adhesion between MgTiO3 and PS and/or PP, a coupling agent, trimethyloctylammonium bromide (TMOB) was used to treat the MgTiO3. The surface chemistry of the treated MgTiO3 particles was evaluated using FT-IR technique. With increasing of MgTiO3 content, the dielectric constant (K) of the composites increased, while the dielectric loss (tanδ) decreased. The MgTiO3/PS composites showed higher K and lower tanδ than those of MgTiO3/PP composites at a given MgTiO3 content. These results are due to the dielectric properties of the individual components. For the composites with same amount of the MgTiO3, the K of composites with interface modification was larger than that of the unmodified composites due to the improved interfacial adhesion. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (TCF) of the composites was also discussed.
