제목 Decoupled Drug Release Kinetics from Dual Drugs-loaded Bicompartmental Nanofibers
초록 While multi-compartmental characteristics of the anisotropic architectures made them suitable for intriguing applications, there have been very limited biomedical studies. Especially, environmentally-responsive anisotropic nanoarchitectures with multiple drugs loaded into each compartment have been of great interest. In this study, we report thermally-responsive bicompartmental nanofibers with physically- and chemically distinct compartments as tissue engineering scaffolds and smart drug delivery reservoirs. When bovine serum albumin and dexamethasone were separately loaded into each compartment, the bicompartmental nanofibers with mechanical actuation in response to temperature showed fully decoupled controlled release profiles. It suggests that a new class of multi-compartmental nanofibers with environmental responsiveness could be useful as advanced nanofiber scaffolds with two or more drugs released at decoupled release kinetics in response to external stimuli.
