제목 A One-pot Synthesis of Laurolactam as a Monomer for Thermoplastic Elastomers using Catalytic Amount of TsCl & ZnCl2
초록  Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) have liner segmented block copolymers to be composed of hard and soft segments with both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. Among these TPEs, there are increasing the demands of polyamide because of their good thermal stability, and excellent chemical and hydrolytic resistance. For this reason, TPEs have come into the spotlight in the field of engineering plastics with cost-effective process. A laurolactam has a lot of advantages as a monomer of TPEs. However, the process of the laurolactam synthesis has not been developed in our country. Hereat, we have focused on the laurolactam synthesis with high yield and purity.
 In this study, we focused on the one-pot synthesis of the laurolactam from low price materials with catalytic amount of TsCl & ZnCl2. Herein we report a study on process development of the possible application in the chemical industry.
