제목 Synthesis and analysis of silica based supported materials and production of MWCNT using metallic nickel catalysts via methane decomposition
초록 Carbon materials are very useful, economical and developable materials that have traditionally been used in various fields. CNTs ,which is one of the carbon materials, were synthesized on metallic nickel nanoparticles through catalytic decomposition of methane using a nickel catalyst supported by silica-aluminosilicate(SAS). SAS support were synthesized through a sol-gel method, then nickel and other metals were loaded on the support using an evaporation drying impregnation method.. The influences of the synthesis temperature, metal ratio and catalyst amount on the quality and quantity of grown MWCNTs were studied. In particular, the MWCNT yield of the nickel-metal catalyst was changed at 550, 600, and 650 °C, respectively. This performance could be attributed to a promotional effect of the catalysts as well as the moderate metal ratio and temperature. Consequently, the active surface of the Ni-Metal catalyst remained constant throughout the methane decomposition reaction.
