In this study, the CNT/NiMoO4 nanocomposite with interesting 3D architecture and highly porous surface was synthesized via a simple hydrothermal treatment, followed by annealing process. Initially, the raw CNT was acid treated by 3:1 HNO3:H2SO4 solution and then further functionalized by 3-APTES to promote amine (-NH2) group onto the CNT surface which will provide robust interaction between CNT and metal oxide. The NiMoO4 NPs were chemically tailored with CNT through the reactive –NH2 group available and formed a 3D nanostructure and highly porous surface. The concentration of CNT with respect to metal oxides was varied and its effect was evaluated towards supercapacitor application. FTIR was used to confirm the presence of amine group onto the CNT surface. The resulting products were analyzed by using TGA, XRD, FE-SEM equipped with EDX, XPS, and BET. |
