Development of soluble carrier-transporting materials with high mobility is indispensable to attain high performance organic electronic devices such as OLEDs, OFETs, and OPVCs. Even if PCBMs widely used as an acceptor materials mixed with P3HT, their solubility in organic solvent was not good enough to fabricate the device and also the device performance can be maximized through inevitable thermal annealing process at high temperature about 150 oC. In this work, we have designed and synthesized self-organizable n-type organic semiconducting materials having excellent solubility for OPVCs, which have been modified by electron withdrawing groups. The pristine photovoltaic cells using our novel materials as an acceptor exhibit remarkable performance, Jsc, Voc, FF, and PCE were calculated by 9.66 mA/cm2, 0.56 V, 60%, and 3.3%, respectively, under 100 mW simulated AM1.5 illumination. |
