Solution processed organic solar cells (OSCs) are currently attracting a great attention due to advantage of processability, ease of fabrication and potential of various applications. The carrier transport mechanism of OSCs are very important for enhancing performances and stability. Due to limited conductivity of organic semiconductors, the innovative strategies have to applied for enhancing carrier transport properties. Quantum dots (QDs) is attractive inorganic materials because of their unique optical, electrical properties with size-dependent effects. The QDs are applied in buffer layer of OSCs for enhancing carrier transport mechanism. Consequently, organic-inorganic hybrid solar cells exhibit high performance with boosted carrier transport properties. |
