제목 Promotional effects of K2O on Ti, Zr and Mn terinary mixed oxides for the selective production of ethylbenzene with CO2
초록 Mixed oxide catalysts have received a great deal of attention in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Here in Ti, Zr, Mn terinary mixed oxide catalysts and their K2O promoted catalysts were prepared and characterized by BET surface area, bulk density, XRD, UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. Acidity and basicity of the materials were determined by well-known TPD using diluted NH3 and CO2 gases and the activity studies were performed in the vapor phase using stainless steel micro-reactor. The K2O promoter enhanced the selectivity of styrene by dehydrogenating ethylbenzene by controlling the cracking reactions in presence of CO2. The selectivity of styrene increased to 100% by maintaining the high conversion levels ranging from 70-80%.
