제목 High conductivity and low humidity proton exchange membrane based on Sulfonated Poly(ether ether ketone) with pendant imidazole group
초록 Proton exchange membrane fuel cells are attracting enormous interest as one of the most promising clean power generators for various applications. The state-ofart membrane materials are perfluorosulfonic acid polymers. However, in term of environmental friendliness and production cost, aromatic polymers are one of the promising candidates. Sulfonated aromatic polymers are typical water-assistant proton-conducting materials, the proton conductivity of the membrane increases linearly with the degree of sulfonation at a fully hydrated state. At elevated temperature and low relative humidity the membrane tends to dehydrate, which lowers the proton conductivity and reduces the performance of the fuel cell. Imidazoe, as a replacement for water, is known to facilitate proton transport in polymer membrane under low humidity.
