제목 Fabrication of polycarbosilane fiber containing metal oxide by e-beam irradiation
초록 Silicon carbide (SiC) fiber is one of the leading candidate ceramic materials for engineering applications because of its excellent high temperature mechanical properties, potentiality of high thermal conductivity and good corrosion and wear resistance. Polycarbosilane (PCS) was used as a precursor to prepare SiC fiber. PCS fibers containing metal oxide(TiO₂, ZrO₂, ZnO₂) were fabricated with wet spinning. Thermal stability of PCS-metal oxide fibers was larger than normal PCS fibers. The microstructures of PCS fibers containing metal oxide are examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and infrared spectrometer (IR) observations.
