Recently, nanostructured TiO2 is being widely used in chemical sensors or photocatalyst for removing pollutants. Meanwhile, Polycarbosilane (PCS) is normally used to fabricate a SiC fiber with an excellent thermal stability and conductivity. In this study, Polytitanocarbosilane (PTC) fibers with a composition of a mixture of PCS and titanium tertabutoxide were prepared by an electrospinning which was a method used to produce a continuous polymer fiber. The morphology of the PTC fibers was observed by a scanning electron microscope. We discuss the correlations between the changes of the fiber morphology and several parameters including electric voltage, tip-target distance, flow rate and solution concentration, and so on, which have influence on an electrospun fiber morphology. |
