제목 Enhanced hydrothermal stability of Co/Al2O3 Fischer-Tropsch catalysts: Effects of SiO2 modification of Al2O3 surface
초록 The effects of SiO2 modification of Al2O3 surface in Co/Al2O3 catalysts were investigated to improve hydrothermal stability of the supporting material and thereby prevent catalyst deactivation during Fischer-Tropsch (FT) reaction. The TEOS was impregnated on the Al2O3 and calcined at 500oC for the support modification. The Co catalysts supported on the support were tested in a slurry phase reaction with squalane solvent under the reaction conditions of T = 220oC, space velocity = 4000 L/Kg-cat/h, and H2/CO/CO2/Ar molar ratio = 57.3/28.4/9.3/5.0. The SiO2 modification of Al2O3 surface resulted in high catalytic stability of Co/Al2O3 owing to enhanced hydrothermal stability by suppressing the phase transformation from -Al2O3 to boehmite. The optimum amount of TEOS addition was found to be 2 mol% of Al2O3.
