As the charge transport and optical properties of CPs are inherited from their multi-directional transport properties, a multilayered nanopatterned conductive film could be of great interest because of several aspects including structural colors, light harvesting, and enhanced electrical and optical properties. Nanopatterned conductive polymer films were prepared using a sacrificial soft template as a guide and were stacked across each other to form cross stacked multiple-layered patterned PEDOT film on a polymeric substrate. The cross stacked patterned PEDOT film structures showed an increase in reflectance and enhanced electrochemically active surface plus high bendability. The preparation and electro-optical characterization of cross-stacked nanopatterned PEDOT films will be presented along with their application potential as a Pt-free and TCO-free counter electrode. |
