제목 Crystallization behavior in CaO-Al2O3-SiO2(CAS) glass system
초록  The study investigated the crystallization behavior in CaO-Al2O3-SiO2(CAS) glass system by differential thermal analysis(DTA). The effect of heating rate on DTA curves was studied in order to investigate nucleation mechanisms and extract the corresponding crystal growth activation Ec for the different crystalline phases. The activation energy of crystallization (Ec) and Avrami constant (n) calculated by Kissinger and Ozawa equations indicated that the surface and the bulk crystallization occurred simultaneously in the glass. The value of the Avrami parameter (n) agrees well scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations of dendritic crystal growth from surface nuclei. Using an Avrami constant 1≤n≤2 and a dimensionality of crystal growth m=1, the activation energy of titanite crystal growth was found to be Ec=445±5 kJ·mol-1 (modified Kissinger method). In this work the nucleation temperature range was determined to be 770~790°C and the temperature of maximum crystallization was 940~945°C.
