Perovskite-sensitized solar cells have been studied, due to perovskite materials exhibit remarkable properties such as high absorbtion, long charge carrier diffusion length, small exciton binding energy, convenient bandgap tuning, and solution processability. Although organic cations, such as methyl ammonium (MA) and formamidinium (FA), are typically appropriate for high efficiency solar cells, thermally unstable characteristic of organic materials limits commercialization. Here, we introduce compositional stable all-inorganic cesium lead mixed-halide perovskites solar cells for tandem. Cesium lead halide (CsPbX3) is compositionally stable up to its melting point excess of 460oC and by using a mixed halide composition, we can control band gap tuning within the optimum range of 1.7 to 1.8 eV for top cell in tandem architectures. Because of these properties, all-inorganic cesium lead mixed-halide perovskites solar cell is a superior candidate for long-term operation tandem cells. |
