제목 The effect of hydrophobic side chain on the properties of Alkaline Anion Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
초록 Anion exchange membrane fuel cell (AEMFC) is an attractive potential alternative to the currently used proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) due to its cost-effectiveness, non-precious catalyst materials, and fuel flexibility. However, it is essential to develop a new AEM material with high-performance and chemical robustness that can overcome the current challenges. In lieu of numerous studies, the molecular design rules for developing highly conductive and alkaline stable AEMs have not yet been fully elucidated. Polymer materials that can produce tunable micro-phase separated morphology hold great promise as highly conductive and alkaline stable AEMs.
We report herein, a systematic study of the effect of hydrophobic side chains on the properties of anion exchange membranes including their conductivity, water content, physicochemical stability, and fuel cell performances.
