Preparation and Characterization of the Geopolymeric Ceramics using Inorganic Materials |
초록 |
Alkali activated cement has been studied for a long time. Davidovits et al. developed "geopolymer" which is hardened rapidly at low temperature and has strong physical characteristics by polymerization. The geopolymer has received attention as a new material which can replace cement. In this study, the physical characteristics of geopolymer and the role of mine residues in geopolymer were investigated using mine residue, coal fly ash, blast furnace slag and alkali activator solution. The reaction products of geopolymer ceramic using mine residue are amorphous aluminosilicate gel and calcite, and are increased with decreasing the addition of mine residue. The compressive strength of specimen which uses mine residue as non-active filler and slag and fly ash as active filler depends on the addition of mine residue, and is the highest as 142.2MPa in MRG-2. The compressive strength is higher in even MRG-7 in which the compressive strength is the lowest than in the specimen using only existing portland cement of which the compressive strength is 60.0 MPa. The leaching resistance of heavy metal ion in geopolymer ceramic is lower than the toxic threshold of each ion. It is confirmed that heavy metals are stabilized and fixed in geopolymer ceramic. |
