Overweight and obesity are the fifth leading risk for global deaths. At least 2.8 million adults die each year as a result of being overweight or obese. Therefore, the development of efficient lipid inhibitor for the biological effects of obesity is highly needed. Especially, the discovery of bioactive compounds from food is one of possible ways to control obesity and to prevent or reduce the risks of various obesity-related diseases. In this study, we described a simple and facile method to generate uniform microwells poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) microstamps through micro-molding for efficient and reliable cell patterning of adipocyte differentiation. And, we demonstrated this platform can be used for the real-time monitoring of cell proliferation and differentiation in live cell-based assays. |
