we show magnetite nanoparticles that synthesized by reverse micelle method using xylenes. They were made by using an oleylamine as a main surfactant and oleic acid as a co-surfactant. These nanoparticles can be also controlled the size and shape at mild conditions including low temperature, air atmosphere. TEM image show the 2.5 nm, 4.5 nm, 7 nm, 9 nm spherical nanoparticles and 8 nm nanocubes were successfully synthesized respectively. Through TEM analysis, we can see these magnetite nanoparticles have uniform size and shape. HR-TEM images reveal that they have a single crystalline with high crystallinity, even though they were synthesized at low temperature. Structural characterization of the magnetite nanoparticles is confirmed by using XRD diffraction and XPS. and the magnetic characterization of the NPs showed that they are superparamagnetic at room temperature. |
