제목 Synthesis of 3-pentadecylphenol-based Comb-like Polymers Containing Long Linear Alkyl Side Chains for Middle Distillate Flow Improver
초록 Polymers with paraffin-like side chain moieties are synthesized from 3-pentadecylphenol (PDP). The comb-like polymers were synthesized by various synthetic strategies. To evaluate the middle distillate flow improver (MDFI) performance, hundreds ppm of these polymers were blended with diesel and the cold properties (cloud point, cold filter plugging point, pour point) were measured. Among them, PPDPA is highly effective on the cold properties by effective co-crystallization with the paraffin in diesel. Both CP and CFPP were decreased with small amount of PPDPA which has hardly observed in other MDFI polymers.
