The recycling of thermosetting polymers such as crosslinked polyethylene has attracted considerable attention regarding the prevention of environmental pollution and resources conservation around the world. However, most thermoset polymers have been burned or land-filled due to their low thermoplasticity and poor processability. This presentation reports a compounding method for decrosslinked polyethylene under continuous supercritical condition. In this study, through the mechanical, thermal, structural and rheological analysis, decrosslinking reaction could be achieved and blending with decrosslinked PE and LLDPE was successfully carried out. |
