제목 Polymer Solar Cells With A Modified Cathode Buffer Layer Based On Pyridine
초록 Polymer solar cells (PSCs) are dependent upon interfacial materials to achieve their performance and stability. In this regard, we present pyridine derivatives as a decisive cathode buffer layer between the photoactive layer and Zn cathode. By varying the interfacial dipole as a result of different positions of hydroxide in pyridine, work function of the cathode and energy barrier at the interfaces between cathode and active layer was modified. In PSCs, when pyridine derivatives are used instead of traditionally ITO/ZnO cathodes, the short-circuit current density (Jsc) and the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the device are improved. In the presence of buffer layers composed of 2-hydroxypyridine, better performance with PCE of different positions is achieved. Pyridine derivatives appear to be effective electron collection materials that could replace traditional low-work-function cathodes.
