제목 Free-Standing 2D Conducting Polymer Films Developed by Ice-Chemistry and Their Coupling to Visible Light Sensitizers for Energy Applications
초록 Polymerizing monomers on atomically flat solid surface and air/water, solid/liquid or liquid/liquid interface is now a rapidly emerging frontier. The critical challenge to achieve dimension-controlled synthesis of highly conducting polymer is to pre-organize its monomers in well-defined order prior to polymerization. The ability of ice template to avail level of precision and to control distribution of monomers in linear orientation is the key to develop 2D free-standing films. The persuasive role of ice-chemistry is reflected in high degree of crystallinity, superior conductivity of as-synthesized polymer films and in their riveting photoelectrochemical features when coupled to semiconductor photosensitizers. In essence, unlike traditional and ubiquitous carbon-based materials, fabrication of a new class of 2D polymer is presented to demonstrate great promises in terms of conductivity and photoelectrochemical activity.
