제목 Controlling the Mesoporosity of HY Zeolites and their Catalytic Activity toward Selective Ring Opening of Phenanthrene
초록 Selective ring opening (SRO) of multi-ring aromatics is of great value to utilize heavy oil as useful middle distillates. Due to bulky reactants, mesoporous zeolite can be a promising catalyst to enhance mass transport and diffusion into the active sites on internal and external surface of zeolites. We report here the pseudomorphic synthesis of mesoporous HY zeolites with varying their mesoporosity. The degree of mesoporosity can be rationally controlled by using the different concentration of TMAOH/CTAB. To investigate the mesoporosity effect on the SRO, phenanthrene was selected as a model compound and its catalytic reaction has been conducted by using the prepared NiW/Meso-HY in batch reaction system. The degree of mesoporosity plays the important role to produce desirable mono-ring aromatics. This study provides a versatile approach to control the mesoporosity of HY zeolites and optimize bi-functional metal-supported mesoporous zeolite catalysts for the SRO of multi-ring aromatics.
