제목 process of microcellular TPU foam with adjustable skin thickness
초록 Microcellular foams, which exhibit excellent strength due to large numbers of cells with a size smaller than the critical flaw, have catch worldwide attention. Microcellular Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foam with certain skin thickness was prepared by batch technique using supercritical carbon dioxide as blowing agent. As well as low density of foam were obtained. The saturation temperature, saturation pressure and desorption time all have an effect on the skin thickness. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to observe the skin morphology and measure the skin thickness. The results show that the surface of microcellular TPU foam is smooth and the skin thickness is about several microns. The skin thickness increased with desorption time increased. Thus, the microcellular TPU foam with adjustable skin thickness, as well as low density, can be obtained by the variable processing conditions.
