Adjustment of polymer crystallinity is very crucial for improving the processability and thermal properties of polymers. In order to find out facile and effective ways to control the polymer crystallinity, various nanofillers and microfillers have been combined with the polymer matrices, such as PK, PVDF, PP, PEO, and so forth. A variety of fillers, such as graphenes, carbons, inorganics, and conducting polymers, have greatly impacted on the resulting thermal properties and crystalline structures of the polymer composites. Furtheremore, the surface treatments on the filler surfaces were highly effective to promote the interactions with the atoms in the polymer structures compared with that of the polymers filled with untreated fillers. We could also identify that the changes in the surface roughness of CVD-grown graphenes also affect the crystalline structures of polymer matrices. |
