Hierarchically carbon materials have been studied because of their large surface area and easy ion transport ensuring high-performance in energy applications. In this regard, we report new hierarchically carbons based on polymers of intrinsic microporosity(PIMs) derivative, termed PIM-EA-TB, for use in superb performance supercapacitor electrodes, which is prepared through PIM-EA-TB synthesis using ethanoeanthracene(EA) involving Tröger’s base(TB) linkage formation, via nonsolvent-induced phase separation(NIPS) methods, and subsequent carbonization process. Carbon material resulted from the synergistic effect of intrinsic micropores of PIM-EA-TB and NIPS process has hierarchical architecture with large surface area of 1966 m2 g−1 and a superb electrical conductivity of 83.6 S cm−1. Such structuring offers a path for facile charge transport, which leads to high specific capacitances of 46 F g−1 at 1 A g−1 and a high specific energy of 17 Wh kg−1 at a specific power of 1 kW kg−1 |
