제목 | Development of Cellulose Fibers and Nano-Fibers from Non-woody plants and Biomass |
초록 | As global regulations to protect environments intensify, an importance of developing sustainable technologies increase accordingly. The sustainable technologies require for 3-R for Reduce, Reuse, and Recyle. To them, a 4th R, Recover, may be added, to make 4-R. Cellulose fibers has a strong potential to deliver the 4 Rs. Presently, they have been mostly produced from trees. Due to the concerns of the environmental protection, however, efforts of replacing trees with non-woody plants have been continuously growing. Yet, no significant progress for developing the sustainable technology seems to be achieved. This presentation is to propose cellulose fibers and nano-cellulose materials from non-woody plants and biomass as the platform of the sustainable technology. Their applications for producing high-value added products are also discussed. |
