제목 Functional materials & green electronics from natural biopolymers
초록 Recently, naturally-occurring biopolymers have been an attractive subject matter for polymer/material research from both academic and industrial settings. This is mainly because many natural biopolymers possess a combination of unique physicochemical properties (optical, mechanical, etc.) and promising inherent traits of being biodegradable and biocompatible. In this light, volarization of naturally-occurring biopolymers can be a key to a sustainable future by replacing overflowing synthetic plastics. In this presentation, I will introduce some of the research endeavors from my group to create structural/functional material systems using some natural biopolymers as the basic material building-blocks, and demonstrate their application as components for functional materials (e.g., biodegradable packaging) and emerging green electronics.
