Tyrosinase is a key enzyme in melanin synthesis pathway, which catalyzes the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine(L-Dopa). By inhibiting the tyrosinase activity, skin pigmentation can be prevented. Ascorbic acid is a well known tyrosinase inhibitor and used widely as a skin-lightening agent. But it’s unstability has been a big problem to be solved. Previously, we proved that kojic acid-amino acid amides had better tyrosinase inhibitory activity and were stable than kojic acid itself. In this study, we prepared various ascorbic acid-amino acid amides, and their tyrosinase inhiboitory activity and stability were screened. |
