Abstract:Porcine small intestine submucosa(SIS) is accellular tissue and widely used as a biomaterials without immunorejection responses. BMSCs can differentiate into various cell types, including muscle and brain cell. Therefore, we investigated the differentiation of BMSCs through co-culture system with RPEs. Following co-culture time with RPEs, BMSCs underwent morphological changes similar to those of cultured RPEs and stained positively for cytokeratin protein as well as high proliferation aspect were detected. Electrophoresis analysis revealed that the levels of cytokeratin on BMSC co-cultured with RPEs related with other group maintained up to 21 days. These findings support the assertion that BMSCs can be differentiated into cells that are RPE celllike on terms of phenotype using RPE cell only. This research suppose by WCU(R31-20029). |
