제목 Spontaneous morphological transformation of kinetically stable particles and estimation of the interfacial energy between heterogeneous polymers
초록 Calculation of the interfacial energy between heterogeneous polymers is challenging. In this research, process for estimating the interfacial surface energy between two heterogeneous polymers is proposed. We use surface free energy calculation and confirm the value based on the result of  transformation of kinetically stable particles (KSP) to thermodynamically stable particles (TSP). KSP can be fabricated using piezo inkjet technology; volatile solvent in the droplets rapidly evaporate and cause immediate solidification before forming TSP. KSP can be converted to TSP by swelling under an appropriate solvent environment. A library of diverse structures depending on the change in the solid-solid interface energy can be produced using the surface energy calculation. Lastly, comparing with the experimental results, solid-solid interface energy value can be found.
