제목 Production and characterization of Low molecular weight Sophorolipid under fed-batch Culture
초록  The sophorolipids are surface-active compounds have been known for over 50 years, but because of growing awareness in herbal medicine and cosmetics, they recently regained the attention. In last decade, the sophorolipid and respective modifications have been identified with various bioactivities like antibacterial, skin fibroblast stimulant, antiviral, anticancer, spermicidal, etc. Most of the sophorolipid available in the market are the product of C16-C18 fatty acid. It has been reported that short-chain sophorolipids shows a higher degree of bioavailability and surface activity. Thus, in present work, we optimized the production of C12-C14 chain length sophorolipid in 30 liter industrial fermenter (Working volume 15 Liter) under fed-batch culture condition, using the yeast Candida bombicola ATCC-22214 and 15% coconut oil with 10% glucose supplementation, and the maximum yield was 54.0 g/Lit (234 hours).
