제목 | Interactions between evanescent optical vortices and meta-atoms: Application to enantioselective sensing and optical sorting |
초록 | Light-matter interactions between structured optical fields (SOFs) and meta-atoms have been recently investigated. Here, SOFs are nonplanar, unconventional Maxwellian fields with various forms including vortex beams with helical wavefront, cylindrical vector beams with spatially inhomogeneous polarization, and focused fields with inhomogeneous amplitudes. Compared to simple plane waves, SOFs allow more diverse light-matter interactions including selective excitation of dark modes,inhibition of low-order multiples, and spin-orbit angular dichroisms [1]. Here, we discuss the mathematical expression of evanescent optical vortices and its implementation into the finite element analysis of three-dimensional full-wave Maxwell solver. Using this method, we demonstrate enantioselective interaction between meta-atoms and evanescent optical vortices with spin and orbital angular momenta. 1. J Mun, S-W Moon, J Rho, Opt.
