제목 Synthesis of Multifunctional Au Nanorod: Magnetic Core Inside
초록 Multifunctional nanoparticles possessing both plasmonic property in the NIR region and magnetic property have attracted considerable interest for biomedical application. These nanoparticles allow the precise and effective diagnosis and treatment. To date, a few research groups have demonstrated on magnetic nanoparticles linked onto Au nanorod by using organic ligand. However, they have the potential risk of precipitation of magnetic nanoparticles in the blood system. Herein we report the new type of multifunctional Au nanorod having magnetic core inside ranging from 100 to 150 nm. We used the magnetic-plasmonic core-shell nanoparticle smaller than 20 nm as a seed. To induce the overgrowth of Au on it, the concentrations of CTAB and Au ion in the growth solution were carefullycontrolled.
