Nanostructure materials have attracted great interest during the past two decades. In particular, many studies have been published on the synthesis of nanocrystals of semiconducting materials since the materials have their unique electronic, optical, and biological characteristics. In the present study, ZnSe nanocrystals were synthesized by employing water/AOT/cyclohexane microemulsion system containing aqueous solutions of ZnSO4 and Se with protect of nitrogen. The ZnSe nanocrystal size was controlled from 2.5 to 6 nm by synthesis with different water to surfactant ratios, W ([H2O]/[AOT]) and the photoluminescence properties of synthesized nanocrystals in micrormulsions were investigated. |
