Study of proton exchange membrane fuel cell electrodes prepared by electrostatic spray deposition |
초록 |
The platinum content needs to be decreased without sacrificing performance of the cell for proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Suspensions of Pt/C catalyst nanoparticles in nafion solution have been prepared to gas diffusion layer (GDL) by electrostatic spray deposition (ESD). The membrane electrode assembly (MEA) prepared by ESD showed higher cell performance than the one prepared by other methods. It was attributed that it showed both morphological and structural improvements that contribute to a better catalyst utilization compared to conventional methods.In this paper, the solvent effects were investigated by means of colloidal ink that has different dielectric constant value compared to solution ink. |
