Electrode of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) has been used the electrospray deposition (ESD) method. Suspensions of Pt/C catalyst nanoparticles in Nafion solution have been prepared to Nafion membrane by ESD for cathode and anode of PEMFC. The membrane electrode assembly (MEA) prepared by ESD showed higher cell performance than the one prepared by spraying method on Nafion membrane. It was attributed that the MEA prepared by ESD showed both morphological and structural improvements that contribute to a better catalyst utilization compared to spraying methods. So it was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). In this paper, the morphology, SEM, EIS compared ESD method with spraying. |
