Physical Properties and Morphology of PA6T/PPO/EPDM-MA/HIPS Composites. |

Polyamide(PA)/Polyphenyleneoxide(PPO) blend has been used in many automobile parts. PA6T with PPO is a system that successfully combines the advantage of both components. Because of their immiscibility, proper compatibilization is necessary to achive their high performance. In this study PA6T/PPO(50/50) blends were reactively compatibilized using etylene propylene diene monomer-maleic anhydride(EPDM-MA) along with high impact polystyrene(HIPS). PA/PPO/EPDM-MA/HIPS composites were prepared by melt mixing using twin screw extruder. Mechanical property of PA6T/PPO/EPDM-MA/HIPS composites were mesured by impact tester and universal testing machine(UTM). Fracture surface was observed by using scaning electron microscopy(SEM). Thermal property was measured using diffrential scanning calorimeter(DSC). |
