Mechanisms for vapor phase oxidative carbonylation over Cu-based catalyst was investigated. Oxidative carbonylation reaction of CH3OH with CO and O2 has been carried out under a pressure of 150psig at 403K over Cu2(OH)3Cl/AC catalysts. The plausible reaction scheme has been proposed on the basis of the reaction results between each two reactants and CO adsorption characteristics. CO has been found to be linearly adsorbed on Cu metal in Cu2(OH)3Cl/AC catalyst. TOF-SIMS spectra analysis and CO-TPD experiment were conducted to investigate CO adsortption properties. |
