제목 | Hydrothermally stable ZIF-7 membrane reactors for water-gas shift reaction |
초록 | Recently, clean energy sources using hydrogen have been attracting attention in order to solve problems related to energy depletion. Accordingly, development of an energy system using hydrogen has been actively carried out. Among them, interest in applications using a membrane for selectively separating hydrogen has been amplified. In this work, to improve the surface chemistry of the porous metal oxide support of ZIF-7 membranes which can separate hydrogen by molecular sieve method in the previous report, we modified the surface of an α-Al2O3 support to MgAl2O4 in order to remove surface acid sites. And Water-gas shift reaction experiment was conducted using ZIF-7 membrane reactors. As a result, the WGS reaction was done at 423-573K in the ZIF-7 membrane reactor. The CO conversion rate was improved by 7-21% higher than the pack bed reactor and had 52-61% of hydrogen recovery. As the first paper WGS reaction using the ZIF membrane, we expect that the research scope of the ZIF membrane can be widely and practically used in industry. |
