Transition Behavior of Block Copolymer Thin Film |

The microphase separation transition in thin film system has been studied for diblock copolymers poly (styrene-b-isoprene) [PS-PI]. In thermodynamically, the block copolymer micro domain is formed by accurate free energy balance between block chains. The order-disorder transition temperature(TODT) has been observed in thin films made on the polystyrene brush by x-ray scattering such as grazing-incident small angle x-ray scattering(GISAXS) and SAXS at the 4C1 and 4C2 beamline at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, Pohang, Korea. In thin film system, different from phase behavior of block copolymer melt, interaction between air/polymer and polymer/substrate have a strong influence on the phase behavior of thin film. |
