제목 Rheological and Morphological Properties of Poly(lactic acid) and Polycarbonate Blends
초록 Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) has attracted increasing attention in recent years because it is produced from renewable sources and is biodegradable. Unfortunately, the inherent brittleness, low-melt viscosity, and low-heat distortion temperature of PLA have restricted its applications. In this study, we blended PLA with the polycarbonate (PC) which has high toughness and high heat distortion temperature. However this is a immiscible polymer blend has weak adhesion because of high interfacial and weak entanglements. So, we made the compatiilized blends with three compatibilizers to improve interfacial adhesion. From the weighted relaxation spectra of the blends, calculation of interfacial tension was performed using Palierne emulsion model and Choi-Schowalter emulsion model. Acknowledgements.
