Effect of Cosurfactant on Microemulsion Phase Behavior in Nonylphenol Ethoxylate Surfactant System |
| 초록 |
Nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) are highly cost effective surfactants with exceptional performance and have been used for a long time in a wide range of applications. The present work describes a series of systematic investigations performed in order to elucidate the microemulsion phase behavior of NPE surfactant systems with special emphasis on an effect of cosurfactant on possible formation of a bicontinuous middle-phase microemulsion. In addition, an oil drop contacting technique was used to observe the time-dependent behavior of NPE surfactant system along with dynamic interfacial tension measurement to characterize the microemulsion systems. |
