For this purpose, 2,2-bis-4,4’-(7-phenyl-1,4,6,9-tetraoxaspiro[4.4]nona-2-ylmethoxyphenyl)propane (bisphenol-A-SOC), which is composed of spiro groups (SOC) for volume expansion or ultra low volumetric shrinkage during polymerization and bisphonol-A derivative for the excellent mechanical properties of the dental restorative composite were produced. A new dental resin matrix containing Bisphenol-A-SOC and Bis-GMA derivatives was prepared because photo polymerization of Bisphenol-A-SOC does not occur without addition of other resin monomers. Dental restorative composites was produced by mixing inorganic fillers containing silica nanoparticles wth resin matrices prepared here. Volumetric shrinkage during polymerization and mechanical properties of dental composite were examined. Volumetric shrinkage was decreased by increasing bisphenol-A-SOC content in resin matrix. |
