The purpose of this study is to synthesize polyimide which exhibits the less-hygroscopic property without sacrificing the other excellent properties of polyimide film. There are reliability problems such as package crack, delamination and so on because of high hygroscopic property of polyimide. The synthesized polyimide can be applied to 2-layer FCCL manufactured by a casting method. To decrease the hygroscopic property, the contents of the imide ring in the definite molecular weight should be controlled by using some kinds of monomers which have different chemical structures. DSC, TGA, TMA and UTM were used to measure glass transition temperature, thermal stability, coefficient of thermal expansion, and adhesive strength, respectively. Water absorption was measured by comparing the weight of specimen after drying in vacuum oven for 48hrs with the one after immersing in distilled water for 48hrs. |
