제목 Ag(I)/Ag(II) 산화·환원 이온쌍을 이용한 전기화학적 매개산화 공정에서 NOx, SOx 제거
초록 The objective of this work was to develop a sustainable process for removal of waste gases like NO, NO2 and SO2 by electrochemically generated Ag(I)/Ag(II) redox mediator system in aqueous nitric acid medium. 100% and 92% removal efficiency was achieved for SO2 and NOx removal using sustainable mediated electrochemical oxidation process. Ag(I)/Ag(II) redox mediator is used as scrubbing liquid in the scrubber and Ag(II) redox mediator was regenerated continuously for effective scrubbing of NOx by wet scrubbing method. NO conversion was investigated as a function of parameters such as NO concentration, gas superficial velocities, liquid gas superficial velocities Ag(I) concentration, and HNO3 concentration. Optimization studies were also carried for the above parameters with high conversion of NO at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. This is an alternative green process for the zero emission of waste gases.
