제목 | Bimetallic effect on Cu-based electrodes for carbon dioxide electrochemical conversion |
초록 | CO2 electrochemical conversion (CO2EC) has been identified as a promising technology for alleviating the emission of greenhouse gases. CO2EC can convert (captured) waste CO2 into value-added chemicals such as syngas through electro-catalysis. The useful chemicals such as methanol (CH3OH) and methane (CH4) could be produced on Cu-based electrodes. To increase techno-economy for CO2EC, it is required to develop selective electrocatalysts. Toward this goal, we prepared the Cu (copper)-based bimetallic electrodes through wet-chemistry. To compare bimetallic effect, the morphological structures were investigated via scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In addition, the electrochemical performance evaluation provided info about selectivity and activity of bimetallic Cu-based electrodes.
