제목 Synthesis, self-assembly and catalytic ability of the 1H-imidazole amphiphiles
초록 The amphiphiles have attracted a great deal of interest due to their potential applications as functional materials. One of the most interesting research areas of amphiphilic molecules is mimicking the biological systems. 1H-imidazole is a promising moiety for bio-mimetic materials because 1H-imidazole is well-known as a side group of amino acid, histidine. Also, the 1H-imidazole group is a good candidate for the enzyme mimetic catalyst because of its basicity and nucleophilicity. We synthesized amphiphiles having a 1H-imidazole head and polar ethylene oxide tails. The self-assembling behaviors and catalytic ability of the amphiphiles in water were investigated.
