The webs of 400 100 nm fiber were prepared by electrospinning with PAN and Poly (vinylacetate) blending solution. The webs were stabilized at 280℃ in the air atmosphere, activated at 800℃ in the nitrogen with 30 vol. % steam. The prepared activated carbon nanofibers (ACFs) of average diameter were 300 50 nm. The average pore diameter and specific surface areas were 2.0 ~ 3.0 nm and 742 ~1107 m2/g, respectively. The specific capacitance of the ACF without the poly (vinylacetate) blending was 140 F/g, while that of the 20 wt. % poly (vinylacetate) blending ACF increased to 35 % as 190 F/g. The specific capacitances were increased by an addition of PVAc. This was attributed to a formation of the valley between PAN and PVAc by pyrolysis difference. |
